About Kumaoni language: Kumaoni is the language of Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, a region in the Indian Himalayas. It is one of the Central Pahari languages. Kumaoni is spoken by over 2 million people of Indian states of Uttarakhand, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
